Anthony’s Priorities

Community Priorities. Practical Solutions. A Better Stratford.

What matters most to you and your family matters to me. Over the coming months, I will be connecting with residents across Stratford, listening to your concerns, hearing your ideas, and learning more about the issues affecting our community every day.

My priorities will continue to grow and evolve based on the conversations I have with the people of Stratford. For now, I am focused on several key areas where I believe we can make a meaningful difference, including road safety, youth employment, affordability, public transit for seniors, and improving access to our downtown.

This campaign is about listening, working together, and finding practical solutions that move Stratford forward. Check back often as I continue to share updates, ideas, and additional priorities shaped by our community.

Road Safety
Everyone should feel safe travelling through Stratford, whether they are driving to work, walking their children to school, cycling through their neighbourhood, or crossing a busy intersection. Anthony wants to work with residents and City staff to identify areas of concern, improve traffic safety, and support practical solutions that make our roads and neighbourhoods safer. Road safety is about more than traffic—it is about creating a community where people of all ages can move around Stratford with greater confidence and peace of mind.

Youth Employment & Opportunity
Stratford’s young people should have opportunities to gain experience, develop valuable skills, and build a future in the community they call home. Anthony wants to encourage stronger connections between youth, local employers, community organizations, and employment programs to help young people access meaningful work and career opportunities. Supporting youth employment also means supporting local businesses, strengthening our future workforce, and giving the next generation more reasons to stay, work, and invest in Stratford.

Free Public Transit for Seniors
Seniors have helped build the community Stratford is today, and Anthony believes we should continue looking for ways to make our city easier and more affordable for them to navigate. He supports exploring free public transit for Stratford seniors to help improve access to medical appointments, shopping, community programs, family, and social activities. Reliable and affordable transportation can help seniors remain independent, connected, and active within their community.

Free Downtown Parking for Stratford Residents
Downtown Stratford is an important part of our community and local economy. Anthony wants to explore options that would provide Stratford residents with greater access to free downtown parking while balancing the needs of businesses, visitors, and the City. Making it easier for local residents to shop, dine, attend appointments, and enjoy the downtown core can help support local businesses while ensuring the people who live here continue to feel welcome in the heart of their own city.

Reducing the Property Tax Burden
The rising cost of living is putting pressure on households across Stratford, and property taxes are an important part of that conversation. Anthony believes residents deserve responsible, transparent management of their tax dollars. He wants to carefully review municipal spending, look for efficiencies, and prioritize the services and investments that provide the greatest value to the community. The goal is to reduce unnecessary financial pressure on homeowners while continuing to protect the essential services Stratford residents rely on.
